Students join special activities at the Festa Junina in Action
For our traditional Festa Junina not to go unnoticed during quarantine, Red House prepared “Festa Junina in Action”! During the month of June, the school community was invited to participate in a weekly activity related to the party that represents the diversity and richness of Brazilian culture.
Action One was Cooking. Families were challenged to prepare traditional dishes served at Festas Juninas.
On Action Two: Dance, students had to bust a move to the sound of typical tunes from different regions of the country.
And on the last one, Action Three: Traditional Games, students adapted Festa Junina games with items available at home and got in the mood for our virtual Festa Junina!
For year 1 to year 6 students, activities earned points for their Houses. The more participating students, the higher the score. And the winning House was Phoenix.
Congratulations to all students and parents who participated with such enthusiasm in our Festa Junina at a distance!
