Year 9 students present the Community Project to their peers
Year 9 students at Higienópolis Campus presented the Community Project to their families, colleagues and teaching team, a project that marks the end of Middle Years with a volunteer work initiative.
This action is carried out throughout the school year with the aim of positively impacting society and showing that, together, we can make a difference. A learning experience that will last a lifetime.
Traffic safety, diversity, combating ageism, encouraging physical activity and sustainability were some of the themes of the 2023 projects.
“The international curriculum enables students to understand global contexts to act on local issues. The community project gives students the opportunity to identify, reflect and act in these situations in order to improve the community in which they are inserted. The work requires critical thinking, creativity, leadership and adaptability. We were very proud because the presentations clearly showed the result of everyone’s commitment and dedication”, says Laís Ribeiro, Head of Middle Years.
