RED HOUSE holds the first edition of its Olympics
The event gathered students from different campuses for a special day of sports competitions
In early September, RED HOUSE held the first edition of its Olympics, an event that brought together students from Year 1 to Year 9 from the Higienópolis, Villa-Lobos, Santana and Tatuapé campuses for sports competitions in São Paulo.
All students met at Villa-Lobos Campus for the games. The modalities chosen were capture the flag, dodgeball, volleyball, and futsal.
“The RED HOUSE Olympics were created to help in the socioemotional development of our students. After all, in addition to promoting the practice of physical activity and for them to have fun, the competition encourages values such as ethics, discipline and fair play, focusing on teamwork, respect, communication and emotional intelligence”, says Physical Education Teacher Rogério de Luca.
The teams were divided by age group and, when necessary, mixed students from different campuses to be formed. In the end, all athletes received participation medals made especially for the event.
Parents, siblings and colleagues of the students who played also participated in the event, forming a very excited crowd to sroot for the teams.
“We had more than 300 students registered for the games! And, more than practicing the different modalities offered, they had the opportunity to develop and improve emotional skills such as resilience, confidence and self esteem. Besides the medal won for the effort of each athlete, the joy and the memories created in this event will be carried with each student for a long time”, celebrates Teacher Rogério.
