RED HOUSE receives IB certification with high honors
In February, RED HOUSE received a visit from the International Baccalaureate (IB) to the Campus Higienópolis, renewing the certification of IB World School with high honors for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). The visit works as a PYP assessment, a program that corresponds to the early years of elementary school, from Year 1 to Year 5.
The importance of IB
IB is an international educational foundation based in Geneva, Switzerland, founded in 1968, offering educational programs recognized around the world.
With an IB diploma, students have access to more opportunities in Higher Education, since the IB’s training is recognized and valued in several European countries, in the USA and Canada, as well as in renowned Brazilian colleges.
The IB also encourages critical and independent thinking, endorsing student autonomy. The ideal IB student profile highlights characteristics such as curiosity, communication, integrity, research, solidarity, courage, open-mindedness, reflection, and balance.
In other words: inquiring, curious, and resourceful students who know how to communicate and apply their knowledge to solve real everyday problems and positively impact society.
