Red House throws the first Festa Junina Festivity on new Campus

With the theme “Rhythms from Brazil”, the first festa junina festivity gathered the school community on a sunny Saturday. Students danced songs from different regions of the country, representing the diversity and richness of Brazilian culture.

Bumba meu Boi, Carimbó, Mineiro Pau (a.k.a. Stick Dance), Dança dos Arcos, Dança do Bambu, Forró and Brazilian Country Music were the rhythms chosen for students’ presentations.

Between dances, children had fun in fair stalls, among them a mechanical bull, a major event attraction. Following the presentations, the event ended with the Red House staff lively dancing to a Brazilian version of a grid square dance known at festa junina events asquadrilha.
