The Year 7 community garden project will be implemented in the Higienópolis Campus
At Red House, students are agents of their own learning and are aware of their role in building a better world.
Last year, the 7th grade class presented a proposal to the Red House principal to create a community garden in the Higenópolis Campus. After being evaluated in detail, the project was approved by the school’s architects and administrators.
Once the project was approved, it was the students’ turn to create prototypes of the garden.
To this end, the class took on the challenge of digging deeper into the systems involved in this project. After interviewing members of the school community, from the maintenance team to the company responsible for school meals, the group started to consider some important aspects for everyone, and created prototypes taking into account these needs and, of course, accessibility.
The implementation of the community garden will take place in the second half of 2021.
