Red House participates in the Education Summit 2020 promoted by Estadão
Head of School Denise Lam was one of the Education Summit debaters, one of the most relevant events in the sector organized by O Estado de São Paulo the newspaper that happened from August 24th to 28th.
The event´s first day highlight was Gracielli Ghizzi-Hall, the International Cooperation & Engagement Advisor and National Commission for UNESCO and Minister of Education of New Zealand. Her highly anticipated speech covered in-class teaching in the pandemic, and the measures taken by schools in her country.
In addition, the debate cycle consisted of experts in the area of education from benchmark schools in Brazil, who discussed in depth the new paths of education in the face of challenges imposed by the pandemic.
In the panel ” “How to enable curricula in international schools and prepare children for overseas education” Denise Lam participated in an enriching discussion on the challenges of structuring distance transdisciplinary projects and how to keep in touch with a second language during social isolation, among other points related to the current moment of education. Mediated by a journalist specialized in the sector, Renata Cafardo, the panel also had Marcello Marcelino, one of the greatest experts in bilingualism in Brazil, and Andrea Tissenbaum from the blog Estudar Fora, published by Estadão newspaper.
