Red House has expanded its campuses under the advisement of a Brazilian and an international consultancy to create a Back-to-School Safety Plan
To ensure maximum health safety in our school community, Red House has created a thorough strategic plan to back-to-school classes with guidelines set in conjunction with a Brazilian consultancy and under the international advisement of an education specialist. In addition, Red House expanded the two campuses taking into account the new safety protocols, which make it possible for students to return with more physical space thus ensuring the necessary distance among them. The have increased the number of classrooms of the Pacaembu Campus by 100%, and the Higienopolis Campus classrooms by 40%.
Run by the Hospitality and Facilities specialization course coordinator of the Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital, the team of Brazilian consultants comprises an expert in chemical engineering responsible for determining the use of cleaning products on the school premises, all approved by the Health Surveillance Agency and risk free of toxicity to students and staff. The team also includes a biomedical engineer, in charge of defining PPE wearing and handling that must be followed by everyone having access to the school facilities. All of them have visited the São Paulo campuses to define the dimensions to sanitize the facilities and set personal hygiene measures and protocols for the entire staff.
A new support staff, such as nursery caretakers and cleaning staff, will be hired to support both classes that will need to be divided and the complete sanitation of the campuses. Also, all employees will receive specialized training to return to face-to-face classes to be fully qualified to act with prudence and safety in the face of the current scenario.
In addition to sanitary and health aspects, our back-to-school plan prioritizes the emotional well-being of our students. The Red House educators anticipate training classes with all groups, so that children get used to wearing face masks, and to the great changes that will be taking place in the school routine. They also will talk positively with students of all grades about the emotional aspects experienced during the quarantine, as part of our work with socio-emotional perspectives of development.
