System of Houses is adopted by school
The school community at Campus 2 stopped to attend the coronation ceremony of the Houses, a system usually adopted by international schools around the world. All Elementary students were randomly assigned to houses namely Dragons, Phoenix,Pegasus and Griffin groups.
In addition to fostering a sense of belonging in the school community, the purpose of the initiative is to promote opportunities for interaction and socialization among the classes, as well as the students’ intellectual, social and leadership development.
Teams will be participating in ongoing activities related to the IB Learner Profile and will receive scores that will be accrued over months. The winning House will be honored at the end of the year.
“Through challenges, games and competitions, we aim to awaken collective responsibility in and outside the classroom,” explains Paola Bonfanti, pedagogical director of Elementary Education. “As it has traditionally been the case in the system of Houses in other international institutions, teams shall remain the same for the entire school life of students at Red House” she adds.
