Year 6 students join an international project to raise awareness on modern slavery
CNN International’s My Freedom Day is an event that takes place annually throughout March 11th and it is led by students from around the world with the aim of raising awareness on modern slavery. This year, Year 6 students joined the project to sensitize the school community about the existence of people under coercion, working in degrading conditions and for exhausting hours.
After investigating the subject, the group decided create an interactive mural at the school so that their colleagues could post messages about their perception of modern slavery, and shared the knowledge they acquired on the topic with a presentation to students from Year 3 to Year 5, who also played games related to the subject.
The class also created a folder to mobilize the entire school community.
Good job!
